Stone Therapy is a massage treatment using smooth volcanic basalt stones. These volcanic stones are thought to hold within them very powerful energy from the depths of the earth. During the treatment they are placed in strategic points along the energy lines of the body in order to impart this energy to the recipient. 

The stones are also used to perform the massage, generally in long gliding strokes. During a Hot Stone Massage the stones retain heat and penetrate deeply into the muscles to release  spasms and promote relaxation. The treatment can be done with hot or cold stones and is typically performed with light pressure but can be also be performed with deeper pressure upon request. Due to the time intensive nature of stone placement a traditional stone therpay session is one and one half hour so that you get the most out of your treatment. However one hour treatments are also available.
